UNDERSTANDING B+HR AND HOW TO REPORT ON HUMAN RIGHTS WITH THE GRI STANDARDS
B+HR is shifting to the center stage due to its importance to sustainability and sustainable development. With the global trend of mandatory reporting on human rights, organizations are required to strengthen their capability in the management of and their competency in the reporting of human rights that is essential for sustainable operations and avoiding legal, financial, and social harm to enhance transparency and long-term resilience.
This two-day training program is designed to equip practitioners and professionals with practical knowledge to identify, asses, manage, and report on aspects of human rights within the business operation. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and hands- on exercises, the program ensures participants are prepared to identify, asses, manage, and report on human rights as required and expected.
UPON COMPLETION, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO
- Describe the relationship between human rights and business operations
- Explain the business compliance and reporting requirements related to human rights
- Describe the key concepts in the GRI Standards as well as the process for identifying impacts and determining material topics related to human rights
- Discuss the disclosures in the GRI Standards related to human rights, including the requirements and guidance
- Apply the GRI human rights-related disclosures by studying practical case studies
